How To Prevent The Centrifugal Pump Motor From Being Burned Out?

Leave a message

The motor may malfunction during operation, and being burned out is one of them, which not only affects normal operation but also increases cost expenditures, causing us a lot of trouble. There are many reasons why motors are burned out, which are closely related to the quality of the machine itself and whether the centrifugal pump is used correctly.
After connecting the power, carefully observe the working condition of the centrifugal pump. The water output should be connected evenly, and the centrifugal pump can only be used if there is no oscillation or noise. If there is a sudden shutdown during work, the power should be immediately disconnected to investigate the cause. The interval between the two start-up times of a centrifugal pump should be limited to the complete return of water in the pump. If started too early, the motor may be burned down due to excessive resistance and water hammer inside the water pipe. In addition, if the centrifugal pump is installed in the well, it should be noted that the flow rate of the centrifugal pump should match the normal water output of the well, otherwise it will cause the machine to operate empty and burn the motor.
To ensure the normal operation of centrifugal pumps, Dadonghai Pump Industry reminds everyone to pay attention to the following points before using centrifugal pumps:
1. Check if the winding of the centrifugal pump motor is open circuit. Its insulation condition can be used for measuring with a 500 volt megohmmeter. When the insulation resistance is below 0.5 megohms, the centrifugal pump cannot be used.
2. Remove the filter screen and check if the rolling pump shaft is sensitive. If it is not sensitive, it should be adjusted before use.
3. Is the capacity selection of the gate fuse appropriate and cannot be replaced by other wires.
4. Connect the power supply and check if the impeller is working properly (the power supply should not exceed 3-5 seconds, otherwise the motor may be burned out).
